CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - More than 14,000 acres of untouched land in west Charleston County could soon be developed.
A special planning commission will meet Monday at 2 p.m. to discuss Spring Grove, a mixed-use development along Savannah Highway, near Ravenel
The land would be used for residential and retail space, among other types of development.
Officials say 75 percent of the land would remain rural and the rest would be developed into different kinds of communities.
A public hearing on the development will be held on Tuesday night.
