CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Bond was denied Wednesday for a 23-year-old man accused of a murder in Lincolnville.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office arrested Thomas Scott McFadden, Jr. of Lincolnville on Tuesday afternoon and charged him with the murder of Tyrell Bess.

"McFadden was arrested without incident in the parking lot of Golden Coral in Tanger Outlets," sheriff's office officials said.

McFadden's arrest stems from an incident on Aug. 14 when deputies responded to Bell Drive to investigate a report of shots being fired.

When deputies arrived, they found several spent shell casings near the side of the road and discovered Bess' body.

The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111 or the sheriff's office at 843-202-1700.
