CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A flood warning for Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties continues until 2:30 p.m. Friday.
The areas affected in the warning include Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Moncks Corner and McClellanville.
According to NWS officials, emergency agencies reported high water levels continued across part of the affected areas with some roads and homes still experiencing significant flooding.
"Although little to no additional rainfall is expected through Friday, water levels are expected to only slowly recede across many flooded areas," NWS officials said."Some of the more higher impacted flood areas include regions along the Ashley, Edisto and Santee rivers, including the surrounding creeks and tributaries."
The NWS has also issued a coastal flood advisory for Charleston and coastal Colleton counties from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday.
