CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston investigators are searching for a second suspect in connection to a downtown murder.

The Charleston Police Department is looking for 34-year-old Montrelle Campbell who has an active warrant for murder.

Campbell is wanted for the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Antwan Frost.

Earlier on Friday, CPD officials announced the arrest of Trivell Donte Lamar Richardson of North Charleston. Richardson was taken into custody by members of the police department's Field Intelligence Unit and U.S. Marshals Task Force, and charged with murder. He was locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Richardson's charge stems from an incident on the morning of Sept. 19 on Norman Street where officers responded to a shooting.

Investigators found a man, later identified as Frost, and two females with gunshot wounds.

The victims were transported to MUSC where Frost later died. The females were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses said a party was held at the incident location the previous night, Sept. 18, where a woman was assaulted. They told investigators the shooting may have occurred because of the assault.

Police are continuing the investigation.
