GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Folks living in parts of Georgetown County are keeping their eyes on the Black River.
The river is causing flooding problems especially near Andrews
The devastation can be clearly seen in various areas like Red's Landing.
There are houses that are underwater, but luckily residents were evacuated.
People said that there was one man who refused to leave his home and had to be handcuffed.
In the Big Dam swamp community the floodwaters have been been relentless.
The water is at least 20 feet deep in certain areas.
People living in the area have either lost their homes or can't leave the area.
The community is using boats to bring food and drinks to both sides of the Bid Dam Swamp Drive.
Residents in the area are hoping the waters will recede soon.
