GEORGETOWN COUNTY — Georgetown County has set up a drop point at the Eagle Electric building in Georgetown for those who want to donate to residents affected by flooding. Donors can leave food, clothing, and other materials.

Those wishing to drop off items should call the Georgetown County Emergency Operations Center, (843) 545-3908, to have someone meet them to accept donations or get information.

Monetary donations can also be made through the United Way at https://uwmidlands.wufoo.com/forms/flood-relief-fund-black-river-united-way/. Monetary donations allow the United Way to purchase items needed by flood victims that are not available in the warehouse or from other sources when the need arises.

The United Way is also searching for volunteers. To sign up to be a volunteer in flood relief efforts, visit http://getconnected.uwasc.org/drm/.

The Eagle Electric building is located at 2928 S. Fraser St., Georgetown.
