Charleston, SC (AP) -

An attorney says a state judge indicates he will lift a gag order and allow release of some photos and emergency call transcripts in the shooting deaths of nine black parishioners at a South Carolina church.
Media attorney Jay Bender joined prosecutors, defense attorneys and attorneys for the victims' families on Monday in a private meeting with Circuit Judge J.C. Nicholson.
News organizations, including The Associated Press, challenged Nicholson's order preventing attorneys from discussing the case and blocking release of documents in the June 17 shootings.
The meeting was to review documents that might be released.
Bender says Nicholson indicated he would allow the release of several thousand photographs and transcripts of emergency calls. He said the judge isn't expected to file the order for several days.
