DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A North Charleston man has been arrested in connection to a bank robbery that happened Friday, a representative with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says.
Gerard Felder was arrested at his home Monday at 7:00 p.m.
The arrest warrant says he entered South State Bank on Dorchester Road Friday at 2:07 p.m. According to the affidavit, he approached a teller in the bank with his hand hidden in his waistband to look like a firearm.
"The defendant instructed the teller to give him money from the register," the affidavit states. He fled the scene on foot when he got the money.
Authorities say no one was hurt in the incident. The Sheriff's Office released surveillance stills of the suspect that afternoon.
According to the representative, Felder will have a bond hearing at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
