GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Two convicted felons in Georgetown County are behind bars on drug and weapon charges.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office arrested 33-year-old Daniea Kelly and and 35-year-old Brent Ladain Shannon.
The duo's arrest stems from an investigation which led to Kelly's arrest on Highmarket Street.
Authorities say Kelly was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm gun and a quantity of crack cocaine packaged for sale, and additional cocaine.
A report states Kelly was with Shannon when authorities found him, and Shannon had a concealed .22 caliber pistol.
Kelly was charged with possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. Kelly was also wanted on arrest warrants for second-offense distribution of crack and two counts of distribution of crack within a half a mile of a school.
The sheriff's office charged Shannon with carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and bringing contraband into a jail.
