FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Florence County Emergency Management is asking that no more donations be sent to Florence County for citizens affected by flooding due to the numerous amounts already received through an outpouring of both local and national support.

“But because we have received so many donations of clothing, water, food, diapers and other disaster supplies, we believe we can fulfill the need in the county with what we have already received,” Florence County Emergency Management PIO Andrew Golden said.

FCEM says it will continue working on a case-by-case basis with citizens who need support and connect them with proper organizations as the need arises, according to a news release from FCEM.

“We would like to say thank you to all those who have donated items to those in our county who were affected by flooding,” Golden expressed.
