NORTH PORT, Fla. (AP) - Jail records show the mother of a missing 9-week-old boy has been extradited to Florida from South Carolina.

Earlier this week, Florida authorities said they thought they had found the body of Chance Walsh who has been missing since Sept. 9. Sarasota Sheriff Tom Knight said investigators found the body buried in North Port after receiving a tip.

His parents, Kristen Bury and Joseph Walsh, were arrested on Florida child abuse charges in South Carolina. The Tampa Tribune (http://tinyurl.com/pbtvy26) reports Bury was booked into the Sarasota County jail on murder and neglect charges late Friday. It's unclear if she has retained an attorney.

Authorities say they became involved when Chance's grandmother called them Oct. 4, concerned about the baby's well-being.
