JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Nighttime lane closures are continuing along Harbor View Road on James island where crews continue work on a $16.2 million road improvement program.
Crews are working near Darwin Street in the latest stretch of the construction.
Drivers are urged to be cautious as roadwork continues. Nighttime lane closures will continue between North Shore Drive and Lawton Place where a new two-way left center lane is being added.
Work will also be taking place at Mikell Drive.
The county says the improvement project is expected to be completed in fall of 2016 and these nighttime lane closures are scheduled to continue until Nov. 1.
Officials say motorists will still be able to get to their homes and businesses at all times.
