Longtime Charleston journalist and author Ken Burger has died.
Burger, a sports columnist with the Post and Courier and author of several books, passed away after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer, two days shy of his 66th birthday.
Born in Allendale County, Burger was an award winning South Carolina newspaper journalist for more than 40 years.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
