CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A coastal flood advisory has been issued for Beaufort, Colleton, Charleston and Berkeley counties from 7 p.m until midnight.
Affected areas include downtown Charleston, Beaufort and Hilton Head.
According to the National Weather Service, tidal flooding is not expected to be as extensive as it was Wednesday morning.
The next high tide is expected to come around 9:30 p.m., it shouldn't be as high as it was this morning, but more flooding is possible.
NWS officials say salt water flooding will still inundate roads, parking lots and beaches, with some roads expected to be closed and some properties impacted by tidal flooding Wednesday evening.
Rain is expected to return later this afternoon through the I-95 corridor.
Another disturbance ahead of a cold front to our west could spark a few isolated thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts later tonight.
