LADSON, SC (WCSC) - The gates opened at the Coastal Carolina Fair at the Ladson Fairgrounds, kicking off the start of the 59th year of the fair.
The fair continues with 11 days or rides, games, food and entertainment before it closes on Nov. 8.
You can reach the fairgrounds by taking the the College Park road exit, Exit 203, off I-26. You can also take Exit 205A to Highway 78. Motorists should be prepared for more traffic over the coming days as people head out to the fairgrounds after work.
Gates opened Thursday at 3 p.m. and will remain open until 9 p.m. Normal hours at 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday and noon until 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission at the gate is $5 for kids and $10 for adults. A hand stamp to ride all the rides is $20 Sunday through Thursday and $25 on Friday and Saturday.
