Celebrate Halloween with these spooky events around Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC -

Goblins, ghosts, and ghouls will fill the Holy City this Halloween weekend in search of candy and scares. Our friends at The Southern Weekend have gathered seven events throughout Charleston to help you celebrate this spooky holiday.

St. Andrew's Halloween Carnival - October 30

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., St. Andrew's Parks & Playground will throw a Halloween Carnival inside its gymnasium on Playground Road. The carnival will feature games, a photo booth, trick-or-treating, a haunted hayride, and more. Be sure to wear your costume! Admission is $3 for children, with infants and parents getting in for free. 

7th Annual Family Fright Nights - October 30

This annual event held every October at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens comes to a close this Friday. From 6 to 10 p.m., guests can hop aboard a haunted train ride, enter the mad scientist's lab, and listen to scary pirate tales. This family-friendly event will also feature a big hay mountain for climbing, games for children, a costume contest, and much more. Admission is $10 per person, with kiddos 6 and under getting in for free. 

Boone Hall Fright Nights - October 30-31

For hair-raising terrors, make your way to Boone Hall Plantation for the final weekend of Fright Nights. This year's horror festival includes four creepy attractions: Zombie Town, Wicked Woods Hayride, Horror High, and Blackout. For ticket prices to each of these attractions, click here

Legare Farms Pumpkin Patch and Maze - October 30-31

This weekend will also be your last chance to enjoy the Pumpkin Patch and Maze out at Legare Farms on Johns Island. Take the little ones and go for a hayride, make a scarecrow at the Scarecrow Factory, get lost in the 10-acre Wax Myrtle Maze, and more. For a complete rundown of activities, click here

Trick or Treat at Citadel Mall - October 31

Beginning Saturday at 3 p.m., kids can dawn their Halloween costumes and go trick-or-treating throughout Citadel Mall. There will also be jump castles, a face painter, and more! Costumes are required, and masks are prohibited. This event will run until the candy is all gone, so get there early!

Trick or Treat Tanger Style - October 31

The early start to candy gathering continues at Tanger Outlets in North Charleston with Trick or Treat Tanger Style from 4 to 6 p.m. Children ages 12 and under are invited to go store-to-store dressed in their Halloween costumes for fun trick-or-treating. 

98 Rocktoberfest - October 31

98 Rock will host its inaugural Rocktoberfest at Brick House Kitchen on James Island beginning at 6 p.m. This Halloween celebration will include live music from Madam Adam, First World Problem, and Wicked Love. There will also be a costume contest, along with plenty of food and drink specials. Admission to the party is $9.98 for those 21 and up, or $15 for ages 18 and up.
