CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A federal judge had ordered several documents to be sealed in the Dylann Roof federal trial.
Last month, Roof's defense filed a motion asking the judge to seal five documents.
They include a letter from attorneys to Roof last month, a letter back to the attorneys presumably from Roof, and unpublished orders from two different states: Colorado and Idaho.
A criminal defense lawyer says the documents could help attorneys in building their case, or they contain information that could be damaging to a client.
Roof is accused of shooting and killing nine people inside Emanuel AME church in June.
