Williamsburg county opening shelters in anticipation of rain

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC -

Williamsburg County Government Officials are advising citizens that shelters will be opening this weekend in anticipation of the upcoming rain event.  

Williamsburg County Emergency Management will open shelters at the following locations: The Williamsburg County Recovery Center located at 2084 Thurgood Marshall Highway, Kingstree, South Carolina  and Chavis One – Stop Complex 2118 South State Highway 41/51, Hemingway, South Carolina.

The shelters will open on Sunday November 8 at 5:00 pm for all citizens needing to evacuate.  People will need to bring their own bedding, medications, and personal hygiene items due to limited supplies.
