Officials with SCE&G say crews have secured a gas leak on Folly Beach.
A spokesperson for the utility said the leak was reported in front of 721 W. Ashley Avenue.
The leak was caused by a dig in the area. Officials were asking everyone to avoid the area until the leak is secured.
SCE&G officials said the gas leak was secured at 7:45 p.m. with one lane open to traffic. Crews remain on the scene to make repairs.
