JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies say a missing James Island woman has been found safe.
The 65-year-old woman's husband told deputies his wife wandered away from her home at around 11 a.m., according to Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson. Her husband told deputies she suffers from Alzheimer's Disease.
According to a tweet from the sheriff's office posted just before 1:30 p.m., she was located safe and unharmed.
Watson said the woman was found in a nearby neighbor's backyard.
