Charleston police looking for man who assaulted woman, made lewd comments

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police released surveillance images Thursday of a man they are looking for in connection with an assault.

The man in the images assaulted the victim by grabbing her buttocks twice and making lewd comments, according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis.

The incident occurred on the sidewalk in the area of King and Wentworth Streets on Nov. 2 at approximately 2 p.m., he said.

The man, who is described as a Hispanic male with curly dark hair and a beard with about a week's growth, told the victim his name was "Alejandro," police say.
