Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office say crews have located a body in an area on Johns Island where a man went missing.
The CCSO dive and marine patrol located the body Thursday night in a pond off Mary Ann Point Road where 45-year-old William Long was last seen.
No identification has been released on the body.
Long was reported missing by a family member who told deputies Long went hunting some time Wednesday night and never returned to his home, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson.
His family and friends are concerned about his health and safety, Watson said.
He is described 5'6" and weighs 155 pounds.
It is unknown what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance, but was last seen Wednesday night, deputies say.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of William Long should call the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Center at (843) 743-7200.
