State Grand Jury indicts 20 People in several Counties in drug trafficking operation

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the State Grand Jury has returned indictments against twenty people in Darlington, Florence and Williamsburg Counties in connection with a heroin trafficking operation.

The case involves heroin being imported from New York to South Carolina and then distributed in Darlington, Florence and Williamsburg Counties.

Agents from the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, Florence County Sheriff’s Office, Johnsonville Police Department, Lake City Police Department, Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) participated in the investigation.  

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants involved are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
