BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) - Police say a restaurant operator shot and killed in his Bluffton home was targeted by the person who killed him.
The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports (http://bit.ly/1N3GNZx ) that Bluffton Police released a statement saying interviews and other evidence has led them to believe 33-year-old Johnathan Cherol's killing was not a random act.
Police refused to give specifics or answer whether investigators think Cherol knew his attacker.
Cherol was found dead Oct. 28. Authorities say he was shot once. He was well known in the Beaufort County restaurant scene.
