CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Coast to Coast trips are about to get much faster out of Charleston.

On Monday, Alaska Airlines began its non-stop service between Charleston International and Seattle-Tacoma Intentional Airport.

Trips will run every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The new service will provide a beeline between Boeing's North Charleston plant, and the company's plants in Washington state.
