NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - You can now fly from Charleston to Fort Lauderdale in less than two hours.
JetBlue Airlines is now offering nonstop service from Charleston International Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. JetBlue is the first airline to offer nonstop flights to the South Florida airport.
Fort Lauderdale becomes the fourth nonstop market from Charleston for JetBlue. It is currently has six daily flights between Charleston and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, Boston's Logan International Airport, and Washington's Reagan National Airport, and now Fort Lauderdale. Another daily flight to Boston will be added in April 2016.
The 105-minute flight to Fort Lauderdale will be on a 100-passenger E190 aircraft. The flights will depart daily at 2:40 p.m. Flights from Fort Lauderdale to Charleston are schedule to arrive daily at 1:09 pm.

Lauderdale-Hollywood area," said Paul Campbell, executive director and chief executive officer of the Charleston County Aviation Authority. "Our customers will be able to enjoy even more of the Sunshine State, and we can bring those folks to our great city."
With the addition of this new flight and the recently added flight to Seattle, Charleston International Airport now flies to 24 airports in 19 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
