NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston will usher in the Christmas season with its annual parade and festival Saturday, Dec. 5.
The festival is all around Park Circle from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. It will feature a Holiday market, food vendors, live music and activities for kids. The parade begins at 5:00 p.m. and at the conclusion, Mayor Keith Summey and Santa Claus will light the tree in front of the Felix C. Davis Community Center around 6:30 p.m.
The following streets will be closed from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
- Park Circle traffic circle
- Montague Avenue from Mixson to the circle
- Mixson and Lackawanna to West Enterprise
Children can enjoy activities including jump castles, a petting zoo and hay rides from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. and then after the tree lighting until 9:00 p.m. Live musical performances on two stages begin at 4:00 p.m. and will also resume after the parade as well.
