CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Christmas Parade is Sunday and there will be several road closures along the lineup area which will begin at 11 a.m.
This is a closed parade route and no vehicles will be allowed to park on the parade route with the exception of Broad Street. The route will be closed to all vehicular traffic until around 12:45 p.m. due to the large amount of arriving viewers who will be lining the street.
At certain intersections, east and west traffic will be allowed to flow.
The lineup will take place in the old break-down area at Lockwood and Broad. The parade will officially begin on Broad Street at Colonial Lake, will travel east on Broad, then north on King Street. The parade will turn right at Calhoun Street, with the last fire vehicle dropping Santa off at Marion Square.
