DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - After gathering comments for weeks, the Dorchester School District Two created a final proposal of new attendance lines for elementary school students, effective next school year.
The proposal will be presented to the School Board on Monday, Dec. 14.
The district said the re-drawing of attendance lines is necessary because of new elementary schools opening for the 2016-17 school year.
The district held six public meetings to allow parents to learn about, and comment on proposed changes.
A neighborhood-by-neighborhood break-down of the attendance lines can be found at http://www.edlinesites.net/pages/Dorchester_County_SD/News/8558536187281386724 . Parents can also comment on the proposal at the website.
