Meeting, Columbus streets reopened after downtown gas leak

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Charleston Fire Department say two streets in downtown Charleston have been reopened following a gas leak Wednesday night.

CFD officials say Meeting and Columbus streets are now open.

The gas leak was near Meeting and Columbus.

Around 6:30 p.m., motorists reported that traffic was being rerouted on Meeting Street with no one being allowed within blocks of the area.
