CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators with the Charleston Police Department are looking to identify two vehicles in connection to a fatal hit and run in West Ashley.

The incident happened on Dec. 5 at 3:02 p.m. when a pedestrian was walking on Glenn McConnell Parkway between Waterstone Lane and Lochaven Drive.

According to police, the pedestrian was struck by two cars that immediately pulled off to the side of the road and called for emergency assistance.

"While the driver of one of the cars was on the phone with a dispatcher, two additional cars struck the pedestrian," CPD officials say.

CPD officials say those two cars then continued south on Glenn McConnell Parkway toward I-526.

The pedestrian suffered a fatal injury as a result of the collision.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the two vehicles should contact Sergeant Matt Wojslawowicz of the Charleston Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team at (843) 965-4084.
