NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - An attempt to rob the same North Charleston bank that had been robbed on Tuesday was interrupted by a detective who was inside the bank at the time.
Sheldon Lamar Huger, 40, was arrested and charged with Entering a Bank to Steal, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor.
The detective identified himself and challenged the suspect who fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, Huger was apprehended outside a convenience store at Dorchester Road and Montague Avenue.
This is the second time in two days a robbery occurred at the bank. The bank was robbed on Tuesday and police arrested two people,
Huger, who told investigators he is homeless, was being held pending a bond hearing Thursday.
