(WCSC) - We're one week away from Christmas Day and here in the Lowcountry the holiday season is in full swing.
If you want to enjoy some fun this weekend, here are a few things to get out and enjoy!
A Christmas Cabaret
A Christmas Cabaret is a holiday themed Variety show that's sure to bring a smile to your face. This show features all your favorite holiday classic songs. There will be food and drinks available for purchase. A Christmas cabaret is in town until December 20 at the Charleston Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased at their box office or by visiting www.charlestonperformingarts.org.
A Christmas Story
You can also catch one of your favorite holiday movies on the stage this weekend! "A Christmas Story" live in Charleston is happening this weekend at the Dock Street Theatre. It's based on the beloved holiday movie classic, and you'll definitely see the leg lamp, pink bunny suit and Red Ryder b-b gun! Open Cockpit Days
This Sunday you can board the U.S.S Yorktown to check out all the aircraft on the carrier. During Open Cockpit days visitors can climb and look inside all the historic planes and helicopters on board. You can also check out the new interactive Vietnam experience exhibit. The museum is open normal hours, and the cockpits will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
