GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A 34-year-old man wanted for manslaughter has surrendered to Georgetown County authorities.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office arrested Jermaine Anttwaine Reid of Georgetown on Tuesday.
Reid's arrest stems from an incident on Dec. 27 at 11 p.m. when deputies responded to a suspicious death at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
According to witnesses, a physical altercation between the victim and Reid occurred at a home on Thomas Drive in the Santee Community resulting in injuries which required the victim to be transported to the hospital.
Reid was locked up at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
