COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Richland County investigators say they've captured suspects in a stabbing attack, including one whose pinky finger was sliced off during the violence.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department said Sunday they were called after a man was found with several stab wounds to his upper body.

A witness reported a 1999 gold Saturn leaving the scene on Saturday. Deputies say they stopped the vehicle and found a bloody 29-year-old Andrew Gathers. His right pinky finger had been amputated.

Emergency medical workers recovered the finger from the parking lot where the stabbing victim was found and reattached it to Gather's hand.

Jail records say Gathers is behind held on a charge of attempted murder. Thirty-eight-year-old Marlon Gathers is charged withassault.

Deputies say they don't know the condition of the stabbing victim.
