North Charleston church opening warming shelter Monday

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) -

People needing to get out of the cold tonight can take shelter at a church in North Charleston Monday evening through Tuesday morning.  

Aldersgate United Methodist will open its warming shelter.

The church will provide a bed, hot shower and a warm meal for those who take advantage of the temporary shelter.

People can get a free ride to the church via CARTA route 13, according to a news release. When people tell the driver they are going to the warming shelter, they will not be charged.
