WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) - A 37-year-old Walterboro man is facing two charges in connection with a sexual assault in Colleton County.
Alrenzo Lamont Aiken is charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct and domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to State Law Enforcement Division spokesman Thom Berry.
The charges are related to an incident on Monday, Berry said.
According to affidavits, Aiken is accused of committing sexual assault on a victim as well as burning portions of her body. The victim also said he made a verbal threat, saying, "Keep playing and your face will be on a milk carton," a comment she said she understood to be a threat of death, the affidavit states.
SLED agents arrested Aiken Thursday after Walterboro police asked the agency to investigate the case.
Berry said Aiken faces a penalty of up to 30 years in prison for the criminal sexual conduct charge and up to 20 years in prison for the domestic violence charge if he is convicted.
Aiken was booked at the Colleton County Detention Center.
