NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A driver has been arrested following an investigation into a stroller being reportedly struck by a vehicle in North Charleston.

Officers responded to Rivers Avenue near I-526 for a report of a woman pushing a stroller which had been hit by a vehicle, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor.

Witnesses reported seeing a mangled stroller at the scene, but police could not locate any sign of a victim and Pryor said no victim has been located at area hospitals.

An officer located the vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident a few streets away.
