Police arrest suspect in fatal shooting outside of N. Charleston club

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) -

Investigators have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection to a fatal shooting at a North Charleston night club. 

NCPD officers located and arrested Richard Antwan Grandison of North Charleston for the Saturday morning murder of Timothy Jamel Wilson at the Lovey Dovey Club.

"During the investigation, Grandison was identified as the suspect," police say."He was picked up this morning in North Charleston by officers.  He is expected to have a bond hearing on Friday."

Wilson, 30, of North Charleston was shot to death early Saturday morning at the Lovey Dovey club in the 2700 block of Carner Avenue.

Officers responded to the shots fire call around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to an incident report, a large crowd of people were gathered in front of the club, screaming and shouting. 

Officers found a man, later identified as Wilson, suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was later pronounced dead. 

According to witnesses, a fight that stared inside the club ended up outside, where shots were fired.
