Locals fans ready to watch Carolina Panthers in NFC Championship

North Charleston - Carolina Panthers fans have been waiting all week for the NFC Championship Game. The Panthers will face-off the Arizona Cardinals and there are watch parties all around the Lowcountry. Some locals also traveled to the game.

"We can't wait it's going to be cold we have to pick-up some long johns, some undershirts and we'll be good to go," says a local Panthers fan, Donald Grove.

Grove and his friend, Austin Caddell, traveled to the game.

"Last month I told myself I wanted to make both playoff games so here we are," says Grove.

It's a bit of a different story for Caddell.

"I'm actually not a Carolina Panthers fan," says Caddell.

He says he still wanted to tag along, but things could end up differently after he goes to the game.

"I might be changed," says Caddell.

They left at 7:30 a.m. to avoid any setbacks by the winter storm. Grove says the goal was to "beat the traffic, beat the snow, beat the ice."

In North Charleston, The Carolina Panther's Fan Club will be watching the game at Southside 17 Bar and Grill near Tanger Outlets.

"We have the Carolina Cat Chronicles that come in here every week, they bring about 20 people so it will be about 20 crazy screaming Panthers fans hoping for a win," says manager of Southside 17, Josh Butler.

Butler says they'll staff up a bit for the rush. If the Panther's make it to the Super Bowl they'll go all out.

"It'll be packed, we'll probably through some extra stuff up, run some specials for the Panther Fan Club, have some giveaways as well for the Super Bowl," says Butler.

If the Panthers win the game Sunday night they will be going to the Super Bowl. That's happened one other time in the team's history.
