Investigators searching for suspect in Goose Creek armed robberies

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators are on the lookout for the person responsible for robbing two gas stations in Goose Creek this past weekend. 

The first robbery happened at the Kangaroo on 215 Red Bank Road on Sunday morning. 

The clerk said the suspect approached her, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. 

Police say the the suspect took cash then left on foot heading towards Parish Road. 

According to the clerk, the suspect was a light skinned black male with a thin light patchy mustache and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the words "Swamp Foxes" on it, khaki pants and black shoes. 

Shortly after a K-9 unit arrived, officers received information that another armed robbery occurred at another Kangaroo further down on Red Bank Road near Goose Creek High School in the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction. 

According to communications officials, the suspect's description was an "exact match" for the prior robbery.
