Thirteen Berkeley Co. students advancing to regional spelling bee

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County School District recently hosted its annual district-wide spelling bee at Berkeley High School.

47 students in grades six through eight competed to be the top speller.

This year's top prize went to Ralph Quindo, a 7th grade student from Hanahan Middle School.
 
First runner-up went to Emily Williams, an 8th grade student from Daniel Island.

Third place went to Logan Dunn, a Hanahan Middle 8th grader.

Thirteen top finishers will advance to Spellbound, the Lowcountry's regional spelling bee.
