CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - If the South Carolina Republican and Democratic primaries were held today, both Donald Trump and Hilly Clinton would crush their opponents, according to RealClear Politics.
The polling website says the NBC/WSJ/Marist poll taken in January gives Trump 36 percent compared to Ted Cruz at 20, Marco Rubio at 14 and Jeb Bush at nine.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton has a 37-point lead over Bernie Sanders. She would get 64 percent of the vote to Sanders' 27 percent and Martin O'Malley's two percent if the election were held now.
The South Carolina Republican primary is Feb. 20, and the state Democratic primary is a week later on Feb. 27.
