CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Gov. Nikki Haley was in the Holy City on Friday at the Maritime Association Meeting in the Charleston Area Convention Center.
The governor was there to receive the association's Christopher Gadsden Award for her strong and continual support of the palmetto state's maritime economy.
While there the governor spoke on many issues South Carolina faces, and its ability to overcome disasters and tragedies.
She also spoke about the potential that South Carolina still has, and how the state will continue to grow
"I am honored to represent you. I'm honored to represent a state that truly has the quality and the heart to keep going," Haley said.
