WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC - The Williamsburg County Emergency Management Division/E911 begins an important project across the county this month.
Officials will audit the address numbers displayed outside all homes in the county. The audit begins the first day of February.
Officials say the address numbers should be at least three inches tall and must be reflective to light.
The goal is to make sure that every address is prominently displayed, and properly recorded in county records. This will help to ensure that emergency crews are able to find your residence quickly and easily.
Residents who do not meet the requirements, will be given time to make corrections. Those who fail to comply with the requirements of the audit, will be fined $200 per day.
