Brother of Emanuel AME shooting victim to speak at MUSC

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Malcolm Graham, a former North Carolina state senator, will be a guest lecturer at an MUSC Black History Month program Feb. 3 from noon to 1 p.m.

It will be in the Basic Science building at room 502.

Graham is the brother of Emanuel AME shooting victim Cynthia Hurd.  

Hurd was a librarian for the St. Andrews branch in West Ashley.

She along with eight others was gunned down on June 17, 2015 when a gunman opened fire on a group gathered for bible study at the church.
