Police: Mt. Pleasant turpentine spill cleared

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A spill of turpentine that affected traffic in Mount Pleasant has been cleared, Mount Pleasant police say.

The spill affected traffic on several roads in the area, prompting a lane closure on Mathis Ferry Road, Highway 17 South at Park West and Six Mile Road as police work to contain and clear the solvent.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the spill
