CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Multiple accidents on I-26 slowed the commute dramatically for drivers Thursday morning.

An accident closed the left lane at I-26 near the exit for Aviation Avenue. That accident was reported at approximately 8 a.m., and SCDOT traffic cameras showed a tow truck preparing to move a vehicle off the roadway about an hour later.

Two other accidents were reported at around the same time.

A second was reported in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 216 about 10 minutes ahead of the other crash.

A third was reported in the westbound lanes near mile marker 209 as of 8:58 a.m.

No injuries have been reported in any of these crashes, but heavy delays have been reported.
