Wadmalaw Island residents could get new water station

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Wadmalaw Island residents could soon have better access to public water.

The Charleston County Planning/Public Works Committee approved the creation of a new water station at the Johns Island Regional Library at their meeting on Thursday evening.

Some Wadmalaw Island residents expressed concern over the quality of their water to County Council last month.

If approved by Council Council at their next meeting on Tuesday, the water station could be operational in three weeks, according to a county spokesperson.
