CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Animal Society plans to mark 142 years by organizing a movement they're calling "No Kill. No Harm. No More."
Supporters of the Charleston Animal Society will meet on Saturday to celebrate the "No Kill Charleston 2015" initiative.
"No Kill Charleston" started in 2013 as a three-year plan, and they accomplished their goal of making Charleston County the first "No Kill Community" in the Southeast.
The CAS. plans to launch "No Kill South Carolina" in the near future.
The 142nd anniversary meeting will take place at The Cigar Factory located at 701 East Bay Street.
